  1. Route tracing / recording (breadcrumbs)

    Route tracing – by this I mean, if I have my Surface in the car with Maps Pro loaded, I`d like to be able to turn on route tracing and it would show me a particular route I have taken on my journey. Combine that with ability to add a quick pin would be awesome.

  2. Too little instruction from the routing engine

    routing engine too minimalist - there is too little instruction from the routing engine.

    The routing is too brief, it'll tell you to "go through 5 roundabouts take the first exit", it doesn't repeat as you get nearer, it's all too abbreviated.

    Hello and thanks for sharing this suggestion,

    Automatically timed repeats of turn by turn voice routing instructions have been added to the next update of Maps Pro (Version 109), it should be available in the next few days

  4. The "Heading" information should be rounded to 3 decimals

    The "Heading" information shown in the bottom-right corner has too many digits, it should be rounded to 3 digits

  5. Being able to make a moving map animation for playback later

    After recoding tracks, being able to have a playback function for later, so that you can see the position being animated on top of the map

    The “Record by journey” function added in version 46 allows you to record your journey as a GPX file. This GPX file contain many informatons including altitude, speed, heading and timing.

    Once opened with Google Earth, it detects the timing and shows a time slider on the top-left corner that can be used as a playback function!

    Might be better to do it in Maps Pro, leave another specific idea if needed.

  6. Indicate the current zoom level when downloading a map

    Zoom levels: your app needs to be more clear on that, as it's hard to know what the zoom level is. Just have the zoom level displayed in the visual, so that when downloading a map one can know what one will get. At the moment it is totally a guess
