Can't install/update Maps Pro from the Windows Store, error code 0x80070002

Some Maps Pro users have been unable to install/update/reinstall Maps Pro on their Windows 8.1 devices, getting an error code "0x80070002" in the Windows Store.
This issue has been reported to Microsoft. 

So far, the only workaround they have found is to have all your devices upgraded to Windows 10. Not very practical and for some devices (WinRT Surface), not even possible.
