An error occurred while saving the comment Hello Kevin and thanks for this suggestion,
What trick did you use on Android? Is it an application which forwards the GPS signal via Bluetooth? I haven't found any in the WP Store though.
After I am done with a few new Maps Pro features, I am going to start working on a real Windows Phone version, not sure when it will be out though but vote on this to get notified:

Try on the Nokia Mobile map styles. They have bigger label, better suited for mobile (and driving)

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello again :)
It is true that there is currently no User Guide for Maps Pro, which is something I will work on. There are two main reasons for that:
- Maps Pro has been evolving very fast and keeping a documentation up-to-date is a hard task
- It is hard to have a guide that will fit everyone's needs. Maps Pro is being used by so many different uses (hiking, preparing car rally, preparing housing project, GPS navigation, ...) that they would require almost different documentations. So instead, I have filled a "Knowledge Base" which acts a little like many chapters of a documentation, sorted by category (GPS, Overlays, Settings, etc.):
https://mapspro.uservoice.com/knowledgebaseThese articles are very specific and help you solve differents problems or questions you can have with the application. They all come from the what I head doing customer support, and I regularly add articles so that the documentation is more and more complete.
For instance, your question is about favorites, which is currently not well explained in the documentation, so I am going to fix that and let you knowAgain, thanks for your feedback!

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for this suggestion,
So if I understand well, you want to be able to draw on the map even when offline and save these drawings for later use. Just like when you have overlay files (kml/gpx) that you can toggle on and off.
For now you can maybe try geojson.io to draw on a map, save it and open it with maps pro, see if this is what you are looking forThanks,

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello again,
About the Grid MORA, actually if you change the map style to the ESRI "World Navigation Chart", you will have the MORA Grid with other navigation informations. In areas the map is quite old (for instance next to where I live, it has an airport that changed name 15 years ago or something) but the MORA should be the same overall. There are some missing parts of the world but Portugal seem to be well covered.
As other map styles, it can be downloaded for offline useFabien
An error occurred while saving the comment Hello Rui and thanks a lot for this suggestion,
It is quite amazing to know that my application could be used for aviation, I didn't expect that at all! Here are a couple answer/questions for you:
- Direct routing: It looks like the current "routing" calculation is not good for the job at all as it is too centered on being in a road vehicule. I guess it could be a separate tool for this task. Some kind of measure tool instead, where you could point and click (or tap) two points on the map and get the distance in the unit you chose (so miles/km but I could add a nautical miles option) and the true/magnetic northing once you have selected point A and B.
What do you think?- Grid MORA: I have a colleague who explained to me the MORA charts, it seems very critical! I need to look up possible options to display these in Maps Pro, see if the data is freely available online and in which format. I'll let you know
- Meridians and parallels: Sounds pretty easy to add to Maps Pro.
Thanks for your feedback!

An error occurred while saving the comment For future reference it looks like the data is now shared by WikiVoyage and not WikiTravel anymore which was bought by some evil company who won't share the contributed data
http://datahub.io/fr/dataset/wikitravelWikiVoyage have dump files of the HTML pages and images in the form of XML files (and some MySQL dumps, not very convenient), which with a bit of work, could be displayed in a Windows Store application with some work.
So not impossible to do in Maps Pro in theory, not sure that it doesn't deserve a standalone application thoughtFabien

An error occurred while saving the comment PS: Is it you who left a comment on the store "This Dog Won't Hunt" ? :)
An error occurred while saving the comment Hello Nick and thanks a lot for your suggestions! Feedback is very important for me and actually most of the features you can find in the app today came from user feedback.
I recently changed how the "follow mode" during navigation worked because before it was "too automatic" and didn't even allow you to browse the map while driving because it would always center on your position.
Now it is more "manual" as you can decide to enter navigation mode and then it will follow you. If you start browsing the map, you will need to press "Resume navigation" to go back to follow mode.
This behaviour is actually very much inspired from the Google Maps for Android application, which is also a reference for me!1/ This would be more of a bug. Actually, I cannot reproduce that one. I just tried snapping the application on the side of the screen (which resizes the map) and I don't leave navigation mode and I can still hear voice instructions. When you resize the map, do you still have "Stop navigation" on the left menu or "Resume navigation"?
2/ I see what you mean, I can reproduce this issue, thanks. When you move on to another step, it is selected in your roadmap and I manually scroll to that item so that it is visible in the list. If you were scrolling the list, it would always take you back to the selected item. That will be fixed.
3/ When you say "3D", do you mean like the map would rotate to show the north in the direction you are going? When in navigation mode, the map should always show the best size for driving. What Maps Pro does is every time you go to the next step of the instructions, it will take the coordinates of your position and of the next road segment and zoom so that all of it will be visible on the screen. So for a very long segment, it will have to zoom out and it is ok because it is probably a highway so you don't need a very detailed map. If it is for a short segment, say for urban space, it will probably zoom it so that you can see the street around. This should work but maybe doing it at every instruction step change is not enough?
I am glad you gave Maps Pro a shot, and like I said, thanks a lot for your feedback! Maps Pro aims at being as good as Google Maps, Bing Maps and similar apps but as you can imagine it is a lot of work. Google Maps probably required hundreds of engineers that worked on it for years while I am only a single developer, so things take more time. The "top" suggestion from the user feedback website (https://mapspro.uservoice.com/forums/251570-general/suggestions/5905604-offline-search-for-streets) is almost there (hopefully I will be able to ship it before new year) and it took me months to do all that: street search, navigation and map browsing completly offline.
So things are changing as fast as possible, I hope Maps Pro will fit your needs soon!Fabien

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for those precisions,
I believe some of it could be done, to some extent. I am currently working on having a full offline experience, not just downloading the map images but also POI, and road network for offline routing. The data will be based on OpenStreetMap, which has some interesting tags for trucks such as "maxheight", "maxwidth", maxlength".
You can check the current coverage of this information here:
http://maxheight.bplaced.net/overpass/map.htmlIt might not be complete but it could help at least. I will seriously consider this feature once I have completed the full offline mode
Again,thanks for your feedback!
FabienAn error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for this idea!
I never used a mapping software specific to truck drivers, what makes it different? Do you get different routing instructions (more detailed? Different traffic)?
Anything else? Do you have a reference software?
Thanks,

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for the suggestion,
It is a little bit hidden but the information is actually available in Maps Pro, in the options panel where you can pick internal/external GPS, for external ones, it will tell you if you are receiving data or if there is not enough satellites available.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hello and thanks for that suggestion,
Where in the app would it be needed for? Because you can have a roadmap of a car trip but not via plane or boat, so i don't think that's what you mean. Is it just for the scale bar at the bottom-left corner? For your other question, you should be able to buy the app from the Store page or when the trial ends

An error occurred while saving the comment If you vote for this suggestion, please explain what kind of sharing you would like to do.
What would you like to share exactly? Your position? Would you like to send a link to an online map, placed on a position to someone?
Thanks,

Hello, just noticed your message, sorry. If it helps anyone, Maps Pro uses the laguage set as your primary Windows language. In the Windows settings, try changing the primary language (the onr at the top of the list) then restart maps Pro.
Hope it helps,
Fabien
